Position Overview

The Medical Teaching Institution Bannu is seeking to fill one (01) position for a Finance Director. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall financial health and strategic financial planning of the institution. The position will be filled through an initial recruitment process, offering a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned finance professional.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Candidates applying for the Finance Director position must meet one of the following qualification criteria:
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in finance and/or accounts. This experience must include at least 3 years served as the Head of Finance/Accounts Department in a reputable private or public institution or company.
  • Alternatively, candidates with an ICMAP/CIMA certification, or a BBA (Hons)/MBA in Finance or Accounts, or an M.Com/M.Sc in Economics, are eligible if they possess at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in finance and/or accounts, including 3 years as the Head of Finance/Accounts Department in a well-regarded private or public institution or company.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 55 years.

Main Responsibilities

The Finance Director will be tasked with comprehensive financial oversight, including:
  • Coordinating and supervising all financial management and accounting aspects of the Institution.
  • Preparing detailed regulations and procedures for the financial management of the institution, for approval by the Management Committee and the Boards of Governors (BOGs).
  • Advising the Hospital and Medical Directors and the Dean on all financial matters to ensure transparency and fiscal probity.
  • Ensuring all accounts are maintained in strict adherence to the rules and regulations approved by the Board.
  • Assisting in the development of the Medical College and Hospital Budgets in collaboration with the Dean and the Hospital and Medical Directors, ensuring accurate financial projections and accounts.
  • Preparing annual financial reports for the approval of the Hospital and Medical Director and the Dean, and presenting these reports to the Board of Governors.
  • Facilitating internal and external audits initiated by the Board or Government, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Preparing budget books and managing their maintenance to support financial and human resource requirements.
  • The Finance Director will report directly to the Hospital Director/Dean/Medical Director, with the final decision on their role resting with the Board.
  • Ensuring compliance with the MTI Act 2015 and its amendments, rules, and regulations as updated from time to time.
