Job Overview

National Tariff Commission (NTC) is looking to hire a qualified professional as an Economist to assist in economic research to determine the effect of tariff changes, trade remedy measures, and for its specific and allied functions as specified in the NTC Act, 2015.

Qualification and Experience

Qualification: PhD/Master's degree or equivalent in Economics (specialization in Int. Trade / Econometrics).
Experience: 15+ years in quantitative trade research / impact analysis of tariff changes / Tariff analysis / Trade Remedial measure related injury analysis, Domestic Industry's competitiveness etc.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

Mandatory proficiency in tariff optimization, export product development, evaluation of sectoral competitiveness, value addition, productivity enhancement, consumer welfare, tariff policy design, WTO dispute settlement mechanism, exporters' assistance for trade remedy measures etc.
