Director (Civil)

About the Role

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is looking for a qualified Director (Civil) to join their team in Islamabad. This role, offered on a two-year contract basis with potential for extension, involves leading and managing various civil engineering projects. The Director (Civil) will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of civil infrastructure, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project timelines. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the development of Islamabad's infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

Prospective candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (1st class) in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from a PEC-recognized institution. Additionally, a Master's degree (1st class) in a relevant field such as Water Management, Sanitary Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or Environmental Engineering is preferred. Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is a mandatory requirement. Applicants should have a minimum of twelve (12) years of comprehensive experience, encompassing both field work and managerial responsibilities at a level equivalent to BPS-17 or above, within a reputed public or private sector firm or organization. Preference will be given to candidates with a higher degree in the relevant specialized fields.

Age and General Conditions

The age limit for this position is 40 years, with a relaxation of up to 45 years, to accommodate experienced professionals. The successful candidate will be appointed on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and organizational needs. Only shortlisted candidates, identified through a rigorous selection process based on the advertised criteria, will be invited for written tests and subsequent interviews. It is essential for candidates to bring all original educational and experience certificates, along with their attested copies, for verification during the interview stage. Government sector employees must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the selection process.
