Deputy Lead Manager (Transmission and Distribution Projects)

Position Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Lead Manager in ensuring the timely processing of project schemes. The role involves preparing financial feasibility reports, managing system-based budgetary controls, and overseeing the financial lifecycle of transmission and distribution projects. This is a critical role for ensuring financial discipline and efficiency in project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely processing of project schemes and prepare financial feasibility reports.
• Manage system-based budgetary controls, review, and capitalization of long-outstanding projects.
• Circulate MIS of aging WIP projects and handle matters relating to deferred credits and IFRS 15.
• Record advances from consumers and government for development work.
• Support Oracle account operations and record financial charges to be capitalized for qualifying assets.
• Allocate overheads on ongoing development work and contribute to budget preparations.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:

• CA/ACMA: A qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of post-membership experience.
• ACCA/MBA: An ACCA qualification or an MBA in Finance from an HEC-recognized university with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
