Position Overview

The Deputy Lead Manager - Gas Purchases will play a crucial role in the Finance department. The main mandate of this position is to oversee and supervise the entire gas-purchasing process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. This role reports to senior management and requires strong analytical and supervisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise the gas-purchasing process.
Ensure timely processing of monthly gas payments and review payment vouchers.
Review compliance of tax laws related to gas purchase matters.
Liaise with the ministry and relevant government departments.
Review gas sale & purchase agreements with various Exploration and Production (E&P) companies.
Prepare weighted average cost of gas and gas statements for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL).

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

CA/ACMA: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant with at least 4 years of post-membership experience.
ACCA/MBA: Must hold an ACCA or MBA in Finance from an HEC-recognized university with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
