Job Overview

PEDO is seeking qualified and dedicated engineers for the positions of Deputy Director/ Sr. Engineer/ RE (BPS-18) in Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering disciplines. These roles are crucial for the successful execution and maintenance of PEDO's hydropower and renewable energy projects. Successful candidates will contribute to various stages of project lifecycles, from planning to operation.

Key Responsibilities

The Deputy Director/ Sr. Engineer/ RE will be involved in the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Hydropower Stations and the construction of Hydropower Projects. Responsibilities will also extend to Planning, Development, Procurement & Contract management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and involvement in Renewable Energy/Private Power Projects. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in O&M of hydropower stations and project construction.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Qualification & Experience (Option 1 - Bachelor's Degree):

• At least a Second Class Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering from a HEC recognized University.
• At least five (05) years of relevant experience in BPS-17 and above or an equivalent position in a Government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, or private sector organization at a national or international level.

OR (Option 2 - Master's Degree):

• At least a Second Class M.Sc in Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering from a HEC recognized University.
• At least three (03) years of experience in the relevant field in a Government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, or private sector organization at a national or international level.

Relevant experience should include O&M of Hydropower Stations, construction of Hydropower Projects, and aspects of project planning, development, procurement, and M&E.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years. Age relaxation may be applicable as per PEDO regulations.
