Job Overview

Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the role of Chief Engineer (BPS-20). This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing engineering operations, particularly in the domain of hydropower and renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, development, execution, and maintenance of energy projects within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering teams, managing the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Hydropower Stations, and overseeing the construction of new Hydropower Projects. Responsibilities also include involvement in Planning, Development, Procurement & Contract management, Monitoring & Evaluation, and contributing to Renewable Energy and Private Power Projects. A strong preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in these areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess at least a Second Class Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering from a HEC recognized University and be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Experience Requirement (Option 1 - Bachelor's Degree):

• At least seventeen (17) years of relevant experience in BPS-17 and above.
• This must include a minimum of three (3) years' experience in BPS-19 or an equivalent position in a Government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, or private sector organization at a national or international level.

OR (Option 2 - Master's Degree):

• At least a Second Class M.Sc in Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering from a HEC recognized University and registration with PEC.
• At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in BPS-17 or equivalent.
• This must include a minimum of three (3) years' experience in BPS-19 or an equivalent position in a Government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, or private sector organization at a national or international level.

Relevant experience should cover Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Hydropower Stations, construction of Hydropower Projects, Planning, Development, Procurement & Contract, Monitoring & Evaluation, and involvement in Renewable Energy/Private Power Projects.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for this position is 50 years. Age relaxation may be applicable as per PEDO regulations.
