Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a medical degree and currently occupy a valid medical faculty position in the relevant specialty at the level of Assistant Professor or above. Additionally, candidates must be a registered CPSP (College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan) supervisor.Assessment Criteria
Candidates will be assessed based on their scholarly activity/publications, quality teaching experience, demonstrated leadership qualities, management skills, and professional integrity.Position Nature and Responsibilities
The Department Chairperson position is honorary and offers an opportunity to gain leadership profile and administrative experience.Main Responsibility: The incumbents will be responsible for the administration of scholarly and research activities, fulfilling their role as a member of the academic council, developing research and teaching activities, and engaging in patient care within the relevant specialty/department.
Practice Requirement: Institutional Based Practice for Clinical Department Persons will be mandatory, and no outside clinical practice will be allowed.
Terms & Conditions
- Candidates selected from outside MTI Mardan will be offered a salary package corresponding with the appropriate faculty position.
- The position is tenure-based, initially for three years, and extendable for two additional terms at the discretion of the competent authority.
- The service will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Act, 2015 (as amended) and the MTI Regulations.
- In-service employees must apply through the proper channel.
- Upon appointment, successful candidates (especially those from outside MTI) will need to submit an accepted resignation from their existing employment (local or abroad, including civil service).
- The competent authority reserves the right to increase/decrease or cancel any advertised positions.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the test/interview.
