Study Overview

The National Institute of Population Studies, Training and Research (NIPST&R), under the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, requires the services of a suitable candidate for the study titled 'Comprehensive Analysis of the Elderly Population in Pakistan'. This position is offered on a purely temporary/contract basis for a duration of 90 days.

Role and Responsibilities

The Consultant will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis related to the elderly population in Pakistan. Key responsibilities include analyzing population structure and aging trends, working with large-scale datasets, interpreting and synthesizing population data, preparing detailed reports, and delivering research presentations to stakeholders. The role demands strong analytical, writing, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Ph.D. in Demography, Economics, Population Studies, or a related field from a reputable HEC-recognized foreign or local institution/university.
Experience: At least 25 years of experience in research and consultancy, particularly in population structure and aging trends in demographic studies. Proven experience in working with large-scale datasets is required.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize population data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in preparing and delivering research presentations to stakeholders.
• Strong team working skills and experience in the same capacity.

Compensation

A deliverable-based payment of 1,800,000/- PKR is offered for the 90-day duration.
