Position Overview

The Chief Supply Chain Management Officer (CSCMO) is a pivotal C-level executive position at Sukkur Electric Power Company Limited (SEPCO), a public sector power distribution company serving over 0.8 million consumers across 10 districts of Northern Sindh. This role is crucial for optimizing the entire supply chain, procurement, and operations management functions of the company. The CSCMO will lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely and compliant supply of materials and services essential for SEPCO's power distribution network. This involves strategic planning and execution in both B2B and B2C environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically leading the Supply Chain Management department, ensuring its objectives are aligned with SEPCO's organizational goals and driving innovation in supply chain practices. This involves developing and implementing sound supply chain policies, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and robust risk management. The CSCMO will be tasked with building strong stakeholder relationships, providing clear and actionable communication and reports on supply chain matters. They must identify and mitigate operational risks while making sound decisions under pressure, foster a high-performance culture by leading, mentoring, and effectively managing supply chain teams, and demonstrate comprehensive expertise in supply chain, procurement, and operations management, adapting to industry trends and challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A person holding a Master's Qualification (16 years' education) in Supply Chain or Procurement or Operations Management or equivalent from a University / Institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. This experience must include sales, marketing, business development, or customer relationship management in a B2B or B2C environment.
  • Certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement or Operations Management from institutions of high repute will be an added advantage.
  • Senior-level Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations Management, or Logistics experience, preferably in the Energy or Power sector, is highly desirable.

Age, Tenure, and Remuneration

The upper age limit for this position is 55 years on the closing date of the advertisement, with no age relaxation. The appointment will be made on a contract basis, initially for a period of two years, which will be extendable annually based on performance evaluated by the Board of Directors SEPCO. The selected candidate will be offered market-based competitive compensation and benefits in accordance with SEPCO (Contract Appointment on C-Level Positions) Regulations, 2024, and other relevant policies.
