Audit Officer

About the Role

The Audit Officer will be an integral part of the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Punjab Development Program, which is focused on critical urban infrastructure development across 8 cities in Punjab. This role involves conducting comprehensive audits of financial records and operational procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and strict compliance with established policies and regulations. The Audit Officer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the financial integrity and efficiency of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute thorough internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and financial processes.
• Review financial statements, detailed transactions, and operational data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and non-compliance issues.
• Prepare comprehensive and clear audit reports with accurate findings and actionable recommendations for corrective actions.
• Monitor the timely implementation of audit recommendations and diligently follow up on unresolved issues to ensure closure.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant auditing standards, government regulations, and best financial practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have 16 years of education (Bachelor's or Master's degree equivalent) in Economics, Accounts, or Finance from a recognized institution. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant auditing or financial sector is required. The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years, seeking dynamic professionals for this vital function.
