About the Role
The Accounts Officer will be a key contributor to the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Punjab Development Program, which is dedicated to upgrading urban infrastructure, particularly sewerage and storm water drainage systems, across 8 cities in Punjab. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the project. The Accounts Officer will ensure all accounting practices comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including meticulous accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, comprehensive budgets, and insightful cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank statements thoroughly and ensure the absolute accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Assist in the efficient preparation for both internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Maintain detailed and organized financial records and comprehensive documentation for all project-related activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold 16 years of education (equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Economics, Accounts, or Finance from a recognized institution. A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant accounting or financial sector is required. The maximum age limit for this position is 40 years, making it suitable for professionals with foundational experience.Application Process
