About SICHN

The Sindh Institute of Child Health & Neonatology (SICHN), established by the Government of Sindh (Act 2018) in Karachi, aims for excellence in pediatric healthcare, including diagnostics. We seek academic leaders for our Laboratory Services, preferably with Sindh domicile.

Role Overview

The Assistant Professor will contribute to the academic (teaching, research) and operational aspects of the Chemical Pathology or Microbiology sections of the laboratory. Responsibilities include supervising tests, ensuring quality control, interpreting results, and training staff/students.

Contract Details

This position is offered on a one-year contract, extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Requires relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., PhD, M.Phil, FCPS) in Chemical Pathology or Microbiology. Significant post-qualification experience in diagnostic laboratory services and potentially teaching/research is necessary, meeting criteria equivalent to PM&DC standards for Assistant Professor.
