Punjab University (PU) located in Lahore, Punjab is one of the oldest best universities in Pakistan in public sector. This largest public-sector university doesn’t only provide distance education to students but also regular classes are being attended by the students over 30,000 in number which are enrolled in university. Largest and oldest public university in Pakistan, PU is having multiple campuses in different cities like Jhelum, Gujranwala and Khanspur. Talking about the history of university, it was established at the end of 19th century and on the other hand Punjab University is providing a good quality education to its students.

About 30,000 (in campus), in which 7,000 are hostel residents, students are enrolled among different faculties of total 13 faculties and 63 departments. One of the top ranked in the HEC rank lists among others, back in 2012 university was ranked 1st. Nobel and scholarly professors are proving beneficiary to the students in studies. Main or central library is loaded with 500,000 books and magazines.
