In line with its strategy to become a future-fit, agile, and sustainable institution, NBP is looking for a talented and experienced professional to fill the position of Wing Head – Collections & Recovery. This role is based in Karachi within the Risk Management (Retail & Program Lending) department.Key Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:Educational / Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Candidates having a Master's degree and/or any other relevant certification(s) will be preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of banking experience.
- Out of the total experience, at least 05 years must be in credit collections, specifically in Retail / Consumer and/or SME and/or Agri Financing.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in large-scale/public sector organizations.
Required Skills and Expertise
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of collection systems, capacity planning, incentive plans, policies, and forecasting.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Knowledge of handling legal documents and litigation affairs.
- Sound understanding of Consumer, Agriculture & SME SBP Prudential Regulations.
- Proficiency with MS Office, data handling, and performing portfolio analysis.
Outline of Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Wing Head will be responsible for:- Working closely with collections and legal teams to ensure smooth and compliant recovery processes.
- Maximizing business profitability by minimizing NPLs and credit losses.
- Managing the write-off portfolio to ensure maximum recovery.
- Developing and monitoring MIS for collections, productivity, and recoveries.
- Setting and achieving collection and recovery targets for both in-house and outsourced resources.
- Coordinating with external agencies and handling internal/external audits.
- Ensuring all reference materials and policies are available to staff.
- Ensuring loss prevention and maintaining strict control to reduce the delinquency ratio.
- Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for all collection staff.
