Job Overview

The Treasurer (BPS-20) will hold a key senior management position at the Allama Iqbal Open University's Main Campus. The role involves overseeing all financial operations, strategic financial planning, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and university policies. This position demands a high level of integrity, professional competence, and leadership.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / ACMA / CIMA
• First Class Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration (with specialization in Finance) or Commerce from a HEC recognized University.

Experience

A minimum of 17 years of relevant experience in Grade 17 or above is required. This experience should be at a high level in a Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Body, or in any National / International organization of repute. Of these 17 years, at least 04 years of mandatory experience must be in BPS-19 or an equivalent scale.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for this position is 45 years. A general age relaxation of 5 years is applicable as per government rules, effectively making the upper age limit 50 years.

2. Processing Fee: A processing fee of Rs. 3000/- is applicable for this BPS-20 position. Candidates must download the Challan Form from the AIOU Job Portal and deposit the fee in the designated bank. The original paid Fee Challan must be presented at the time of the test/interview.
3. Document Verification: At the time of the written test/interview, candidates will be required to bring their original certificates and the original fee challan for verification.
4. For In-Service Candidates: Applicants currently working on a regular/acting charge/officiating/Ad-hoc/current charge, and/or contract basis in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous Bodies (including employees of AIOU) must apply through the proper channel. They need to obtain an NOC (No Objection Certificate) and service certificate(s) issued by their respective Controlling Authority by the due date. Applications without these documents will be considered incomplete and liable to be rejected.
5. Accuracy of Information: Information claimed in the online application form will be treated as final. Subsequent claims of experience or any other information not provided in the online application form will be considered an afterthought and will not be accepted.
6. Contact Information: Candidates are required to provide a valid/non-MNP cell number (for SMS alerts) and a complete postal address for TCS/courier delivery. AIOU shall not be responsible for any delay or non-receipt of SMS/courier.
7. Last Date for Application: The deadline for submission of online applications is 16-06-2025.
8. Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility of candidates will be determined as per AIOU services statutes 1978 (as amended up to April 2022), relevant applicable rules of the Government, and the terms and conditions of this advertisement. Shortlisting and scrutiny will be strictly based on the AIOU Recruitment Rules 2022, available on the AIOU website.
