Tax Economist

Job Overview

The Board of Revenue, Punjab (BOR) is responsible for collecting various government dues including Agriculture Income Tax, Stamp duty, Mutation Fee etc. For efficient tax administration, the BOR intends to hire the services of a highly experienced professional as Tax Economist. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the said post in MPS-II on a contract basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

• Ph.D. in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Public Finance, Development Economics or relevant subject with 10 years post qualification professional experience in relevant field.

OR

• 16 years education in Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Public Finance, Development Economics or relevant subject with 14 years post qualification professional experience in relevant field.

Age Limit: 45-55 years (to be calculated on the closing date of submission of applications).
Tenure: Three (03) years, extendable as per Management Pay Scales (MPS) of Punjab 2023.
Pay Package: Rs. 619,650/- (MPS-II) Plus Rs. 26,760/- annual increment.

Persons having requisite experience and qualification should submit their applications with complete details, along with their CVs and attested photocopies of the testimonials including CNIC and one recent passport size photograph to Secretary (Revenue & Establishment), Board of Revenue, Punjab, Old Anarkali, Lahore by 25 September, 2026 during office hours.

Only eligible applicants will be invited for interviews. Applications which do not fulfil the above-mentioned criteria or those received after due date and time will not be entertained. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates.
