About the SECP

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is the apex regulatory body responsible for regulating and supervising the corporate sector, capital markets, insurance companies, non-banking finance companies, and private pension schemes. Additionally, it oversees external service providers to the corporate and financial sector, including chartered accountants, credit rating agencies, corporate secretaries, brokers, and surveyors.

SECP Summer Internship Program 2025

This program offers a unique opportunity for talented students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience and insights into the workings of Pakistan's primary regulatory authority for the corporate and financial sectors. The internship duration is 06 to 10 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SECP Summer Internship Program 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled students in local and foreign HEC-recognized universities and must have completed at least two out of four years of Bachelor's degree Program OR enrolled in Master's Program in the areas of Accountancy, Finance, Insurance, Management, Administration, Economics, Public Policy, IT, Law etc. OR students of professional institutes pursuing professional education, such as Chartered Accountancy, Cost and Management Accountancy, Actuarial Sciences, ACCA, CFA etc.
• Fresh graduates or professional certificate holders with relevant qualifications, who completed their education within the last 12 months.
• Students must have a minimum of 70% marks (annual system) or a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 4.00 out of 5.00 (where the GPA system applies).
• Candidates having international degrees or qualifications are also eligible.
• Students must meet these requirements at the time of applying for the program. Students awaiting results to meet the eligibility criteria are not eligible.
