Sports Officer (Lt Col Retd)

Role Overview

Applications are invited for the re-employment of one retired/released/retiring Lieutenant Colonel as a Civilian Gazetted Officer (CGO) to serve as a Sports Officer. The likely appointment station is Rawalpindi. This role involves managing and promoting sports activities within the Army.

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate must be a Lt Col (Retd) with the following qualifications:

• A good sportsman, preferably an Army Colour holder.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Sports Sciences.
• Proficient in handling Army teams training (Men/Women).
• Preferably holding experience of conducting Inter-Services/National and International Tournaments/Games/Championships.
• Preferably experienced in supervising and conducting Inter-Centre/Army Championships.
• Qualified in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coaching Certificate (either A, B, or C).

General Eligibility Criteria

• Status: Retired/Released/Retiring Colonels/Lieutenant Colonels.
• Age Limit: 54 years for Colonels; 52 years and below for Lieutenant Colonels. (Position for Lt Col, so 52 years and below applies if not a Colonel rank equivalent in retirement). The specific title is Lt Col (Retd), so age limit 52 years and below.
• Date of Retirement: Officers retired within the last two years (excluding LPR).
• Ineligibility: Disciplinary case involving moral turpitude/character or misappropriation; officers retired/released/discharged compulsorily for inefficiency; officers with Medical Category 'EEE'.

Application Process and Terms

Applicants will appear before a Special Selection Board at GHQ, Rawalpindi at their own expense. Appointments will be for a period of 3 years, extendable by 01 year based on performance. Selected officers will be required to serve at any station in Pakistan.
Application forms can be obtained from the Portal of AG's Branch (CP Dte/ CP-IV) GHQ Rawalpindi or the nearest Station Headquarters. Photocopies of forms are also acceptable.
Submit applications (in triplicate) along with:

• 4 x Photographs (2' x 2') with name on the back.
• Copy of CNIC.
• Copy of 2 certificates of civil qualification as required (Bachelor's in Sports Sciences, AFC Coaching Cert).
• A crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 2500/- in favour of DCP.

Applications should be submitted to AG's Branch, CP Dte (CP-IV) GHQ Rawalpindi within Twenty days after the publication of this advertisement in newspapers.
