Organization Overview

Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority (PAMRA), a government body, intends to hire highly skilled and motivated legal professionals on a retainer ship basis. The role requires relevant experience in areas pertaining to Civil, Criminal, Labour & Service matters, pursuing legal cases for PAMRA, and drafting legal documents.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Legal Advisor will be responsible for:

• Attending the Courts (Supreme Court, High Court & Lower Courts) for placing and defending CPLAs, Writ Petitions, Appeals, Civil Suits/cases for and against PAMRA Authority.
• Filing of CPLAs, Writ Petitions, Appeals, Civil Suits against orders/decrees for and against PAMRA Authority in Appellate Courts.
• Preparing and vetting of reports & parawise comments, written statements, and concise statements, etc.
• Assistance in all legal issues to the Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority.
• Providing legal advice on day-to-day legal issues and financial aspects.
• Handling any other legal proposition related to other official matters.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience: Advocate Supreme Court (LLB or Bar-at-law) with a minimum of 20 years active practice at the bar.

Required Knowledge and Skills

In addition to active practice, candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Land Laws, Service matters, Labour Laws, Corporate & Civil Laws, and financial issues in such matters. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Appointment Terms

The legal advisors shall initially be appointed by PAMRA on a retainer ship basis for a period of 02 years. Subject to the given procedure and performance, they shall be eligible for reappointment. The remuneration is Rs. 300,000/- per month (Negotiable).
