This senior role involves overseeing complex drafting projects, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical drawings, and providing guidance to junior draftsmen. The successful candidate will play a vital part in the success of engineering and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Draftsman, your key responsibilities will encompass:

• Leading and managing drafting projects from conception to completion.
• Developing complex and detailed technical drawings, models, and schematics using advanced CAD software.
• Ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, company policies, and project specifications.
• Mentoring, training, and supervising junior draftsmen and reviewing their work.
• Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide expert drafting solutions.
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation and drawing archives.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements in drafting operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a closely related discipline. A Master's degree could be an advantage.
• Proven extensive experience in a drafting role, with demonstrated experience in a senior or lead capacity.
• Expert proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and other design technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, and engineering principles.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
