Senior Biochemist (BS-18)

Position Overview

The Health Department, Government of Sindh, is looking to fill the senior post of Senior Biochemist (BS-18). The selected individual will play a crucial role in a government laboratory or research institute, contributing their expertise in biochemistry. This position requires a professional with a strong academic background and significant practical experience in the field. The role is offered on an open-merit basis for the rural quota of Sindh.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for this position:

• Option 1: PhD in Biochemistry from an HEC-recognized university with five (05) years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field in an accredited laboratory/research institute.
• Option 2: M.Phil / M.Sc / BS (16 years of education) in Biochemistry from an HEC-recognized university with five (05) years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field in an accredited laboratory/research institute.

Age and Domicile

• Age Limit: The required age for applicants is between 32 and 45 years.
• Domicile: The position is open to candidates holding a domicile in the rural areas of Sindh.

Application Process via SPSC

Interested candidates must apply online through the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) portal. The application procedure is as follows:

1. Visit the official SPSC website at www.spsc.gov.pk and complete the online application form. Candidates will need to register on the portal first.
2. After filling out the form, download the system-generated challan for the application fee of Rs. 500/-.
3. Deposit the fee in the designated bank before the deadline.
4. Ensure that all personal details, educational qualifications, and experience are correctly entered as per your official documents, as no changes can be made after the closing date.

The last date for online application submission is July 4, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview. No TA/DA will be provided.
