Job Overview

The Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantonments/ Garrisons) Directorate, operating under the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Defence, invites applications from Pakistani Nationals for 300 posts of Secondary School Teacher (SST) in BS-17. These positions are offered on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, which may be extended for another year if required. Successful candidates may be posted anywhere in Pakistan within the Federal Government Educational Institutions network.

Minimum Qualification

To be eligible for the SST position, candidates must possess:
  • A Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s Degree (16 Years’ Education) in any subject from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • A B.Ed or equivalent Professional Qualification from a university recognized by HEC.
OR
  • An M.A (EPM) from a university recognized by HEC.
  • Essentially, 16 years of education in any subject is required.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The standard age limit for SST (BS-17) is 22-30 years. A general age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is applicable.
Further age relaxation is admissible under specific categories (only one category can be claimed):
  • 3 years: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized Tribes of the Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Sindh Rural, and Balochistan.
  • 10 years: Government Servants (Federal/Provincial) who have completed 2 years of continuous government service by the closing date of applications.
  • 10 years: Persons with Disability.
  • 15 years or actual years served: Released or Retired Officers/Personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan (whichever is less).
  • 5 years: Widow/Widower or Son/Daughter of a deceased civil servant who died during service (on or after 01-07-2005). Departmental Office Order/Notification of death must be provided.
Age and qualification will be determined based on the closing date of the advertisement.

Application and Registration Process

Follow these steps to apply:
1. Eligible candidates must apply online through the official registration portal: https://induction2025.fgei.gov.pk. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.
2. Candidates are required to upload valid and necessary documents before submitting the online application.
3. The last date for online registration is 19 May 2025.
4. After scrutiny, shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test. Tests will be conducted in Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta. Intimation regarding the venue, date, and time will be communicated through the website/induction portal.
5. Candidates must download their roll number slip from their log-in account on the portal and bring it to the test centre.

Interview and Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates, based on the written test results, will be called for an interview. Interview details (venue, date, time) will be communicated through letters.
Candidates must produce original documents, including academic certificates, at the time of the interview.
Government servants must provide a fresh No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department at the time of the interview.

Important Notes

  • Dismissed/removed employees of any organization or those with a criminal record are ineligible.
  • Permanent employees of Federal and Provincial Government are not eligible to apply.
  • Information provided by candidates will be relied upon; fake/bogus documents will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
  • No requests for change of test/interview centre will be entertained after the closing date.
  • Selected candidates must render an affidavit on stamp paper stating they will not file any appeal for regularization in any court of law.
  • No TA/DA is admissible for the written test and interview.
