Registrar (BPS-20)

Position Overview

Applications are invited on the prescribed form for the direct appointment to the non-teaching position of Registrar (BPS-20) at the University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir. This position is offered on an open merit basis for a renewable term of three years within the General Administration (Establishment) department.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• At least a 1st Class Master's Degree.
• A minimum of 17 years' establishment/administration/teaching experience in any Government/Semi Government organization as an officer of BPS-17 or above.
• Should be well versed in the latest office techniques, use of computer, and capable of communicating effectively with teachers, students, and various organizations.
• Age Requirement: 40-45 years. (Age limit does not apply to in-service permanent University or Government employees).

Preference will be given to AJK Nationals (1st Class State Subject).

Application Process

1. Obtain the application form from the Office of Assistant Registrar (Meetings), University Secretariat, University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir by producing Rs. 12,100/- on University Challan forms (available at authorized Habib Bank Ltd branches in AJK) OR by sending a bank draft of Rs. 12,100/- favoring Treasurer, University of Kotli (AJK), along with a large self-addressed envelope affixed with Rs. 50/- postage stamps (at applicant's risk).
2. Alternatively, download the application form from the University website (www.uoajk.edu.pk). Downloaded forms must be submitted with the original University Challan/Bank Draft of Rs. 12,100/-.
3. Submit the completed application form along with attested copies of degrees, result cards, transcripts, certificates, domicile & State Subject etc.
4. Ensure certificates, transcripts, and detailed marks certificates were issued before the application deadline. Provisional/Hope certificates are not accepted.
5. Foreign degree holders must provide an HEC equivalence certificate.
6. In-service permanent employees must apply through the proper channel.
7. Submit separate applications (with separate fees) if applying for more than one post.
8. Applications must reach the Registrar, University Secretariat, University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir, P.C 11100 by post or in person.
9. Last Date: 19 May, 2025.
10. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.

Selection Process

Applicants will be shortlisted based on a written test (where required) conducted by a recognized testing agency. Only the top five candidates scoring 50% or above per post will be called for an interview. Final selection will be based on the recommendations of the Selection Board.
