Job Overview

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science & Technology (QUEST), Nawabshah (SBA), invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Director. This is a significant opportunity for experienced professionals to lead and manage important infrastructure projects within the university. The position is offered on a contract basis, initially for a period of 01 year, as per the university's project policy. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, including planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Ensure projects related to buildings, roads, water supply, and sanitary installations are executed efficiently and effectively.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and university policies.
• Oversee procurement processes related to the projects.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to university management.

Qualifications and Experience

Option 1:

• B.E. (Civil) preferably in 1st class OR equivalent qualification.
• 13 years professional-cum-Administrative experience of supervision of Construction of Buildings, Road, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation and related works in Post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in Project Directorate of Engineering Department of an Autonomous Organization / firm of repute, Government organization or a University.
• Experience of procurement in a reputable institution / organization shall be considered as an added qualification.

OR

Option 2:

• Ph.D. / M.E. or equivalent qualification from HEC recognized University.
• 10 years professional-cum-Administrative experience of supervision of Construction of Buildings, Road, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation and related works in Post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in Project Directorate of Engineering Department of an Autonomous Organization / firm of repute, Government organization or a University.
• Experience of procurement in a reputable institution / organization shall be considered as an added qualification.

nThe completed application form, along with a C.V., attested photocopies of all educational and experience documents, CNIC, Domicile, two recent photographs, and a Demand Draft (Pay Order) of Rs. 5,000/- (non-refundable) as processing fee in favor of the Director Finance, QUEST, Nawabshah, must reach the office of the undersigned (Registrar) by 23 May, 2025 during office hours. Separate applications are required for each post (if applying for multiple positions not advertised here).

• Candidates already in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies service must apply through proper channel with an NOC from their employer. If an NOC is not available at the time of application, a certificate from the employer stating that an NOC will be provided upon selection should be submitted. Otherwise, the candidate must provide a release order/resignation acceptance from their previous employer upon selection, failing which their selection may be cancelled.
• The University reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any post(s) advertised in this notice without assigning any reason.
• Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date and time will not be considered.
• The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.
• Canvassing in any form or manner will disqualify the candidate.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
