Job Overview

The University of Mirpurkhas is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the post of Professor (BPS-21) in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Science. This is a leadership position requiring a profound commitment to academic excellence, research, and institutional development. The successful candidate will be expected to lead research initiatives, mentor junior faculty, and teach at graduate and postgraduate levels.

Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Qualification: PhD from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field (Information Technology or Computer Science).
• Experience:
  - 15-year teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution.
  OR
  - 10-year post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution.

Research Publications Requirement

The applicant must have a significant research profile, including a minimum of 15 research publications, with at least 5 of these publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.

• Application Form: The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the university's official website at www.umpk.edu.pk/career or obtained from the Office of the Registrar, The University of Mirpurkhas.
• Application Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 4000/- must be submitted via Demand Draft/Pay Order in favour of the University of Mirpurkhas.
• Required Documents: Candidates must submit four (04) copies of their bio-data/C.V., along with required Research Papers and other relevant documents showing details of work/teaching experience and Research Publications, in hard binding.
• Submission Deadline: All applications must reach the undersigned on or before 25 July 2025.
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the post of Professor is 50 years, which is relaxable in exceptional cases as per Government rules.
• Domicile: Candidates must have a Sindh Province Domicile.
• General Conditions:
  - Candidates already in government service must apply through the proper channel with an NOC.
  - Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
  - The envelope should be clearly marked with the post applied for.
  - Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for a test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
