Role Description

The University of Mirpurkhas is looking for a dynamic and qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Professor (BPS-19) in the English department. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, engaging in research activities, and contributing to the university's academic environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following essential requirements:

• Qualification: PhD in the relevant field (English) from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• Publications: Preference will be given to those with publications in highly reputed journals, particularly in at least the 'Y' category.

• Processing Fee: An application must be accompanied by a Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 4000/- (non-refundable) payable to the University of Mirpurkhas.
• Application Deadline: The last date to submit the application is 25 July 2025.
• Age Requirement: The maximum age limit for an Assistant Professor is 40 years. The age limit is relaxable in exceptional cases as per Government rules.
• Domicile: Candidates must hold a domicile of Sindh Province.
• Other Conditions:
  - Those serving in Government/Semi-Government bodies must apply through the proper channel.
  - Applications that are incomplete or received after the closing date will not be considered.
  - The envelope must be clearly marked with the title of the post applied for.
  - Only shortlisted applicants will be called for the test/interview.
