Principal / Assistant Director (Training) / Safety Engineer

Position Overview

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) invites applications on behalf of the Inspectorate of Mines, Mines & Minerals Department, for the combined role of Principal, Assistant Director (Training), and Safety Engineer. This is a regular (BS-17) position initially offered on a women's quota. However, if no suitable female candidate is available, the post will be treated as non-reserved and filled on open merit. The posting can be anywhere in Punjab.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be eligible:

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Coal Mines registered under the Mines Act, 1923 & Mineral Concession Rules. The experience must be gained after acquiring the prescribed qualification.
• Age Limit: Female: 24 to 43 years; Male: 24 to 40 years (including age relaxation).

Syllabus for Written Examination

The selection process will include a written test. The test will be a one-paper MCQ-style exam of 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The syllabus will consist of:

• Qualification related questions (Mining Engineering): 100%
