About the Programme

The Department of English, Faculty of Languages and Literature at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) invites applications for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme (English Linguistics) for the year 2026–2027. This is a prestigious opportunity for scholars holding a relevant PhD degree to conduct advanced research in a vibrant academic environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• A Candidate must hold a relevant PhD degree (English with specialization in the area of ELT, Linguistics or Applied Linguistics) from HEC recognized University (provide equivalence certificate of the HEC in case of foreign PhD).
• Have acquired requisite qualification on or before closing date.
• Candidate has to submit a proposal of 500–1,000 words.
• A copy of Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Two reference letters.

Additional Facilities & Fee

Selected fellows will enjoy additional facilities including Office Space, Library Resources, and General Transport Facility as per IIUI Policy. The fee structure for the programme is Rs. 70,000/- (Seventy Thousand Rupees Only) for one year.
