About the Role
The Government of Punjab, through the Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD), is implementing the 'Developing Resilient Environment and Advancing Municipal Services (DREAMS-I)' project. We are inviting applications from experienced individuals for the position of Municipal Financial Management Expert within the Project Coordination Unit in Lahore. This is a contractual position for an initial period of one (1) year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this Municipal Financial Management Expert job in Lahore, applicants must meet the following criteria:- A graduate or preferably postgraduate degree in Finance, CA, MBA, or a related field.
- A general experience of 5 years, with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Urban Sector Development.
- A proven track record of successful Municipal Finance.
- Experience working in a similar role in the public sector, with a focus on climate resilience.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Local Rules & Laws, policies, and acts associated with the urban municipal sector.
- The maximum age limit for applicants is 50 years.
Key Responsibilities (Illustrative)
While specific responsibilities will be detailed, the role generally involves:- Overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the project.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements.
- Developing and implementing financial management systems and controls.
- Providing expert advice on municipal finance matters.
