Microbiologist

Role Overview

A contract position for a Microbiologist is available under the Public Health Laboratories Network (PHLN) initiative for deployment in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). This role involves leading microbiological activities, including testing, research, and management within the PHLN structure in GB. Preference will be given to residents of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Must possess an MBBS or equivalent degree.
Post-graduation: A post-graduate qualification in Epidemiology, OR Epidemiology and Biostatistics, OR Public Health with majors in Microbiology is required.
Registration: Registration with the relevant professional council is mandatory.
Experience: Candidates need at least 5 years of work experience after obtaining their Master's degree. This experience should cover progressively responsible levels in Microbiology management, research, and technical expertise. The incumbent must have extensive experience in independently designing, conducting, presenting, and disseminating microbiological studies using advanced statistical methods.

Age Limit and Pay Scale

Applicants must be between 30 and 40 years old. The position is classified under Project Pay Scale (PPS) 8.
