Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position of Lecturer, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Qualification: MS or M.Phil. (first division) or an equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
• Age Limit: 21-35 years. Age relaxation may be admissible as per government policy.
• Note: An applicant having a third division in their academic career shall not be eligible. However, an applicant with a Ph.D. in the relevant field and not more than one third division in their entire academic career will be eligible for the post.

Application Process

Interested candidates must follow the steps below to apply:

1. Download the Application Form from the official university website: www.uo.edu.pk.
2. Deposit an application processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-. The fee can be paid through a bank draft in favor of “Treasurer University of Okara, Renala Khurd” (NTN No. 9021534-6) or deposited in HBL (Treasurer Payment A/C No. 01527913908901) of the University of Okara.
3. Attach the original bank draft/deposit slip with the completed application form.
4. Send the application in hard form in the prescribed manner to the Registrar Office, University of Okara.
5. The application must be received on or before the closing date, which is June 30, 2025.
6. Candidates who have already applied against the previous advertisement (vide IPL No. 378 with a last date of 14-02-2025) need not apply again; their previous applications will be considered.

Important Terms and Conditions

• Those already in Government / Semi-Government services must apply through the proper channel and provide a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) at the time of the interview.
• Separate applications are required for open merit and reserved quota posts.
• Only short-listed candidates will be called for a test/interview.
• The university reserves the right to withdraw any post, increase or decrease the number of positions without assigning any reason.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
