Position Overview

The University of Okara is a public sector university established under the Government of Punjab Act XIII of 2016. The university is seeking to fill multiple Lecturer (BS-18) positions across a wide range of academic disciplines. These appointments may be on a regular or contract basis. This revised advertisement (No. 04/2025) provides an opportunity for motivated and qualified individuals to become part of the university's esteemed faculty and contribute to the academic and research environment.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the post of Lecturer in all advertised subjects are as follows:

• Education: MS or M.Phil. (with a first division) or an equivalent qualification from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
• Note on Academic Record: An applicant having a third division in their academic career shall not be eligible. However, an applicant holding a Ph.D. in the relevant field with not more than one third division in their entire academic career is eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: 21-35 years. Age relaxation will be as per the policy of the Government.

How to Apply and Important Instructions

Interested candidates must follow the application process outlined below:

1. Application Form: Download the Application Form from the University's official website: www.uo.edu.pk.

2. Application Fee: It is mandatory to deposit a non-refundable Application Processing Fee of Rs. 1,000/- for each application (BPS-18 posts). The fee can be paid through a bank draft in favor of 'Treasurer University of Okara, Renala Khurd' or deposited in HBL (Treasurer Payment A/C No. 01527913908901) of the University of Okara.

3. Submission: Send the completed application form in hard copy, along with the original bank draft/deposit slip, to the Registrar's Office before the closing date. Candidates must submit separate applications for each post they wish to apply for.

4. Deadline: The last date to submit complete applications is June 30, 2025.

Important Notes:

• This is a revised advertisement. Candidates who applied in response to the previous ad (IPL No. 378, closing date 14-02-2025) need not apply again; their previous applications will be considered.
• Candidates already in Government/Semi-Government service must apply through the proper channel and provide a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) at the time of the interview.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA is admissible.
• Interview call letters and information regarding the date, time, and venue will be sent via post/email and uploaded on the university website.
