Lab Manager

Key Responsibilities

The Lab Manager will be entrusted with a range of crucial responsibilities to ensure the laboratory's success. These include:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Conducting regular meetings with consultants to support business development and strengthen professional collaboration.
• Supervising laboratory staff and managing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of lab results.
• Implementing and monitoring quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) protocols to maintain high standards.
• Ensuring timely calibration of laboratory equipment and maintaining comprehensive calibration records.
• Leading and evaluating team performance, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, deadlines, and regulatory standards.
• Actively responding to feedback from management and patients, introducing improvements to optimize lab services.
• Preparing and submitting capital expenditure proposals, departmental forecasts, and the annual budget.

Requirements

To be considered for this leadership role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a relevant field.
• Experience: 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Managerial Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Operational Experience: 6 years of progressive experience in laboratory operations.
