Project Overview

The School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, is implementing the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project (SSEIP) with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) seeks a Junior Accountant consultant.

Position Summary (CS27-AF)

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited for the national consultant position of Junior Accountant / Finance Officer. This is a full-time role requiring 24 person-months, based in Karachi. The Junior Accountant will assist in the day-to-day financial operations of the PIU-SSEIP.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software/tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Pakistan's project and public sector financial regulations is desirable.
• Minimum 04 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance support roles, preferably within development partner-funded projects.
