Job Summary

The Head of Information Technology will be primarily responsible for leading and managing the organization's entire IT function. This encompasses the comprehensive IT infrastructure, all applications, and ensuring that these technological assets are fully aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive innovation and maintain operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring for this crucial role must meet stringent requirements:
  • Education: A Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an HEC recognized university/institute, or an equivalent qualification from a foreign university/institute.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT systems, infrastructure, and leadership roles. Within this, at least 05 years must be in a senior management position, demonstrating proven leadership capabilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in cloud computing, Oracle 19c, enterprise applications, and comprehensive infrastructure planning. Hands-on experience with insurance sector technologies, particularly IGIS ERP, will be highly preferred.
  • Network Proficiency: A strong understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and data security protocols, is essential.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), CISSP, CCNP, PMP, or equivalent qualifications are highly valued.
  • Soft Skills: The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and engage with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The selected individual will undertake a broad range of responsibilities crucial to NICL's technological advancement and operational efficiency:
  • Lead and manage the organization's overall IT strategy and daily operations, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Design and implement a robust, high-availability roadmap for IT infrastructure and cloud services, guaranteeing continuous business operations.
  • Oversee all cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and scalability to meet evolving business demands.
  • Manage and support all enterprise applications, including the core insurance ERP (IGIS), ensuring reliability, integration, and optimization across all departments.
  • Supervise the deployment, configuration, and administration of Oracle 19c databases within a cloud environment, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Plan, configure, and maintain enterprise firewalls, managed network switches, and virtualized environments (VMs) to ensure network security and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements to ensure all IT operations meet industry standards and government regulations.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in deploying and managing SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) platforms.
  • Evaluate user requirements and growth opportunities; perform comprehensive needs analysis, benchmarking, and high-level solution design to address future challenges.
  • Develop, negotiate, and review IT service contracts, ensuring vendor compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and oversee plans for IT investment and revenue forecasting in line with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure change management processes are effectively implemented across IT systems and operations, minimizing disruption and maximizing adoption.
  • Set clear team goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide leadership development to foster a high-performing IT team.
  • Execute special projects or assignments as directed by executive management, contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Establish, implement, and review IT policies, cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies to protect organizational assets.
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies and process improvements, keeping NICL at the forefront of technological advancements.

Mode of Employment

This position is purely contractual, offered with an open-ended contract. The services of the selected candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions stipulated in the contract.
