Financial Consultant

Role and Responsibilities

The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, requires a Financial Consultant on a short-term basis for its Accounts Branch, as per section 46 of PPRA rules 2014 (Amended). The consultant will be pivotal in deploying the Financial Management System, aiming to enhance the university's financial operations. The consultant's advice will be sought on the following key matters:

• Liaison with vendors for the digitalization/automation and conversion of the single-entry accounting system to a double-entry system for the treasurer's office.
• Supervision of data entry processes and overseeing the successful trial run of the new automation system.
• Conducting a detailed study to determine campus-wise, department-wise, and cost-centre-wise financial contributions and liabilities concerning university resources.
• Preparation of job descriptions for employees in the treasurer's office at various levels, clearly defining responsibilities and performance measurement/evaluation criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to apply for the Financial Consultant position must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Educational Qualification: An MBA (Finance) or F.C.M.A (Fellow Cost and Management Accountant) or F.C.A (Fellow Chartered Accountant).
• Experience: A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in public sector organizations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a public sector university or Higher Education Institution (HEI).
