Position Overview

The Deputy General Manager (Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance) will lead PIAHCL's legal advisory, corporate governance, and compliance functions. This critical role ensures strict adherence to the Companies Act 2017, SOE Act 2023, and all other applicable laws and regulations, providing essential support to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves providing comprehensive legal advisory services, ensuring all corporate actions align with legal frameworks. The DGM will oversee corporate governance practices, ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct. A key part of the role is to manage compliance functions, proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks. The incumbent will also provide secretarial and governance services, supporting the Board of Directors and various committees in their operations. Corporate governance / company secretarial certification (e.g., ICSP, ICSA, or equivalent) will be a strong advantage.

Educational Requirements

A Bar At Law / LLB (Hons) / LLB / LLM from an HEC-recognized institution is required. This strong legal background is fundamental for navigating complex corporate and regulatory landscapes. Corporate governance / company secretarial certification (e.g., ICSP, ICSA, or equivalent) will be a strong advantage.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required, with at least 5 years in a legal/compliance or company secretarial role. This extensive experience ensures the candidate possesses both the legal expertise and practical understanding of corporate governance necessary for the position.
