Job Overview

The Punjab Police Department is hiring Driver Constables (BPS-07 assumed) for service in the Dolphin Squad, Special Protection Unit (SPU), and as Traffic Assistants. Applications are sought from eligible candidates domiciled in the respective districts of Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following prerequisites:

• Domicile: Must have the domicile certificate of the relevant Punjab district and a valid CNIC.
• Age: 21 to 30 years (confirm applicability of age relaxation rules from official notification).
• Height: Minimum 5 feet 7 inches.
• Chest: Minimum 33 inches (normal) and 34.5 inches (expanded). Applicable to male candidates only.
• Education: Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) from a recognized Board.
• Driving License: Must possess a valid LTV (Light Transport Vehicle) driving license, obtained at least 2 years prior to the date of advertisement.
• Vision: Eyesight must be 6/6 (Near and Far).
• Running Test: Must complete a 1.6 KM run within 7 minutes.

Quota Information

Applicable quotas for minorities (5%) and ex-servicemen (10%) will be observed as per government policy. Maximum age for ex-servicemen is 40 years, subject to conditions.

Application Process

1. Obtain the application form from the Punjab Police official website: http://punjabpolice.gov.pk.
2. Submit the filled application form, attested copies of all required documents (Matric certificate, LTV license, domicile, CNIC, photos, etc.), and the application fee of Rs. 300/-.
3. Submissions are accepted from 28 April 2025 to 12 May 2025 during office hours at the designated District Police Lines.
4. Government servants must submit their applications through the proper channel along with an NOC.
5. Candidates should apply for only one specific post category.
6. Ensure the application is complete; incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.

Selection Procedure

Selection involves several phases: Physical measurements, Running test, Driving test (implied), Written examination, and Interview. Candidates must clear all stages and a medical examination for final selection. Character verification and document scrutiny will be performed. Providing false information or resorting to unfair means will result in disqualification and potential legal consequences.

Important Notes

Candidates can get further information from their relevant District Police Lines. No travel or daily allowance will be paid for attending tests/interviews. The recruitment process can be amended or canceled by the department at any time.
