About the Role
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is inviting applications for the position of Director (P&D - Planning & Development) in Islamabad. This critical role, offered on a two-year contract basis with potential for extension, is central to the strategic planning, development, and execution of various projects within CDA. The Director (P&D) will be instrumental in formulating and implementing development plans, particularly those related to urban infrastructure and utility management, ensuring adherence to the highest engineering standards.Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (1st class) from a PEC-recognized institution, along with a Master's degree (1st class) in a relevant field such as Urban Water Utility Management, Sanitary Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory. A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience, both in the field and in a managerial position equivalent to BPS-17 or above, in a reputable public or private sector organization, is required. Candidates with proven experience in urban water utility management, sanitary engineering, public health engineering, and environmental engineering will be given strong preference.Age and General Conditions
The age limit for this position is 40 years, with a relaxation of up to 45 years, encouraging experienced professionals to apply. The appointment will be on a contract for an initial period of two years, which may be extended based on performance and organizational requirements. Only shortlisted candidates who meet the specified eligibility criteria will be invited for written tests or interviews. Candidates are required to bring original educational and experience certificates, along with attested copies, for verification during the interview. Government employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current department. Please note that no TA/DA will be provided for attending the tests or interviews.Application Process
