Job Overview

The Ministry of Science and Technology is looking for dynamic individuals with strong leadership, communications, and management skills to head the Public Sector Organizations under the administrative control of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Pakistan Halal Authority (PHA), Islamabad requires a qualified and experienced professional for the post of Director General. This is a senior leadership position offering a 3-year contract with pay and allowances equivalent to BS-21.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: PhD, MS, M.Phil, M.Sc, BE, or BS (Hons.) with Grade 'B' in the field of Applied Sciences, Natural Sciences, Administrative Sciences, or any other relevant discipline from an HEC recognized university.
Experience:

• For PhD: Minimum 18 years of relevant experience.
• For MS/M.Phil: Minimum 20 years of relevant experience.
• For M.Sc/BE/BS (Hons.): Minimum 22 years of relevant experience in relevant fields in public or private organizations (preferably public sector).

Additional Requirements

• Candidate shall be Muslim.
• Knowledge of Halal related systems, WTO, TBT, and OIC/SMIC will be preferred.
• Candidate should have basic knowledge of Islamic Shariah in respect of Halal.
• Master in Public Health along with MBBS will be preferred.
• Having good competency in computer applications (MS Office).
