Consultant (Coordination)

Job Overview

The Consultant (Coordination) will play a crucial role in assisting the Ministry of National Food Security & Research (MNFSR) to establish a new regulatory framework for international trade related to plant and animal quarantine, as well as seed certification. This role involves aligning the National Food Safety, Animal Plant, and Health Regulatory Authority (NFSAPHRA)'s operations with international standards to enhance Pakistan's food and agricultural export potential. This is a full-time consultant position based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Responsibilities

The Consultant (Coordination) will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting NFSAPHRA's operations. This includes evaluating current practices, identifying areas for improvement, and coordinating efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory processes.

Additionally, the consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry representatives, and international organizations, to ensure that the regulatory framework is aligned with best practices and meets the needs of all parties involved.

The role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of international trade regulations, and the ability to coordinate complex projects and initiatives.

The selection process involves a single-stage, two-envelope method (Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal). The electronic RFP response, prepared in accordance with the instructions provided in the RFP Documents, must be submitted using E-PADS within or before 15 days of the publication of the advertisement. Responses in hard form shall not be accepted. The application deadline is April 8, 2025.
