Job Overview

The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad invites applications for the vacant position of Director CPSC (China-Pakistan Study Centre) (BPS-20) on a regular basis initially with probation for a period of six months. There is 1 post available for this position.

Qualification & Core Competencies

Qualification:
Ph.D Degree (applicants enrolled in Ph.D Program may also apply) in IR/DSS/Economics/Pol. Sc. or comparable discipline with excellent analytical ability and experience with particular focus on China, SCO and Central Asia will be preferred.

Core Competencies:

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a University, think tank, research institution, or policy-oriented organization, with minimum five HEC-recognized research publications.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills, including experience in supervising researchers and delivering quality outputs within defined timelines.
• Established professional networks with Chinese think tanks, research institutions, and universities, with experience in fellowships, joint research, academic exchanges and international collaborations.
• Experience in conceptualizing and leading research projects, policy dialogues, conferences, and bilateral exchanges.
