About the Role

As a Deputy Project Director, you will play a vital supporting role in the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the Punjab Development Program. This initiative is designed to improve urban infrastructure, specifically efficient Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Systems, across 8 cities in Punjab. Your responsibilities will involve assisting the Project Director in overseeing the development and implementation, demanding strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, and proven managerial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities.
• Supervise various project components related to urban infrastructure development, ensuring all stages are on track.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations and resolve any impediments.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports and contribute significantly to decision-making processes within the PMU.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a BE/BSc degree in Civil Engineering from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university. A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience is required, with at least 10 years in a management position within the relevant sector. The maximum age limit for this position is 63 years, making it suitable for experienced professionals in the field.
