Additionally, a minimum of 3 years of proven and relevant experience in a communication role is essential. This experience should ideally encompass strategy development, content creation, media relations, and public outreach, demonstrating practical expertise in managing communication functions within an organizational context.Key Responsibilities
The Communication Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:- Developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with project goals.
- Creating and managing engaging content for social media platforms, publications, and campaigns.
- Building strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders.
- Organizing and facilitating media events, press briefings, and public forums.
- Overseeing and evaluating communication activities, and generating analytical reports to assess effectiveness.
- Ensuring adherence to donor and organizational branding/visibility guidelines.
- Producing compelling visual and narrative content, including photography and videography.
- Maintaining a strong digital presence and amplifying the organization's impact through innovative tools.
- Promoting inclusive communication practices to support social cohesion within communities.
- Producing monthly case studies and success stories highlighting project impact.
- Managing the organization's social media pages to ensure consistent and engaging content.
- Reporting regularly to the Project Manager on communication activities, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Beyond the required education and experience, the ideal candidate should possess exceptional qualifications and skills. These include excellent writing and storytelling abilities in both English and Urdu, enabling effective communication across diverse linguistic groups. Proficiency in digital marketing, social media tools, and content creation is crucial for maintaining an impactful online presence. Experience in photography, videography, and documentary storytelling will be highly valued, allowing for the creation of compelling visual narratives. The ability to multitask and manage communications efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
