Project Overview

Applications are invited from eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab for recruitment on a contract basis under the development project titled 'Revival of Citrus Sector in Punjab (2024-25 to 2027-28)' under the Chief Scientist Agriculture (Research), Ayub Agriculture Research Institute, Faisalabad. These appointments are temporary, non-transferable, job/post specific, non-pensionable, and do not confer any right for regularization.

Position Details

The Agriculture Department is hiring two (02) Cluster Managers (PPS-08) to be posted at the Citrus Research Institute, Sargodha. The initial contract will be for 01 year, extendable up to the project period subject to performance and approval.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification:
  - Ph.D. Agri. (Horticulture) / Ph.D. (Horticulture)
  OR
  - M.Sc. (Hons.) Agri. (Horticulture) / M.Sc. (Hons.) (Horticulture) with 5 years post-qualification relevant experience, preferably in the Citrus sector.
• Skills: Strong Communication/International skills with a sound understanding of Horticulture farming practices.
• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years (No relaxation in upper age limit).
• Domicile: Punjab.

Retired Government servants are not eligible.

2. Address the application to the Secretary Agriculture, Government of the Punjab, 21-Davis Road, Lahore, clearly indicating the post applied for.
3. Attach Curriculum Vitae (CV), three recent passport-size photographs, and attested copies of all relevant documents (CNIC, certificates/degrees, detailed marks certificates including CGPA, position in Board/University, Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate, Madrissa Certificate recognized by Wafaq-ul-Madaras, release orders for Ex-Service men).
4. Alternatively, apply online at www.jobs.punjab.gov.pk. However, submitting a hard copy of the application form along with complete attested relevant documents to the department within the due date is mandatory.
5. Applications must reach the department by May 21, 2025. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
6. List of eligible candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board 03 days prior to the interview. Candidates may contact the Additional Secretary (Planning), Agriculture Department, Lahore for clarification at least two days before the interview.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for the test/interview.
