Chief Legal Officer

Role Description

Applications are invited for the position of Chief Legal Officer (CLO) at the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination for the 'Jinnah Medical Complex & Research Center (JMC&RC) Company' project in Islamabad. This is a senior role offered on a 3-year contract basis (extendable). The CLO will provide legal counsel and manage all legal affairs related to the project.

Educational Qualification

Minimum 16 years of education or equivalent from an HEC recognized university/institution, culminating in an LL.B. or LL.M. degree. Specialization in Corporate/Construction Law, Healthcare Law, or related fields is preferred.

Experience Required

A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required.
At least 5 years must be in a leadership/managerial level role within the legal department of a company.
Experience preferably in the construction business (mega construction projects, ideally in healthcare).
Candidates with experience in the medical or related field shall be given preference.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, EPC, etc.), healthcare regulations, public-private partnerships (PPP), and Pakistan Public Procurement Rules.
Knowledge of Pakistan Healthcare Regulations 2022, construction laws, and hospital accreditation requirements shall be preferred.

Skills

Legal Expertise: Excellent negotiation, litigation, and risk management skills.
Communication: Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Age Limit

The age requirement for this position is 35 to 50 years.
