Chief Internal Auditor

Role Overview

Our client, Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), a key player in the nation's financial sector, is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Chief Internal Auditor. This is a challenging and rewarding senior management role responsible for leading the internal audit function, ensuring effective financial reliability, designing internal control procedures, and managing risks. The position is based on a contract, initially for two years, and is extendable based on satisfactory performance.

Education and Experience Requirements

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications and experience levels:

• A member of a recognized body of professional accountants with a qualification of CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/ or an MBA (Finance) from a reputed local or international University/Institute. This must be accompanied by at least five years of relevant experience in auditing, risk management, and designing internal control procedures, particularly within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) or public sector projects.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with at least ten years of relevant experience in the field of audit, finance, or compliance functions.

Preferred Certifications and Skills

The following certifications and experience will be considered a significant advantage for applicants:

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
• Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA)
• Familiarity with the implementation of IFRS17
• Experience as a key officer (in audit, finance, or compliance) within the Insurance industry
• Experience in the public sector and knowledge of public sector working environments
• Knowledge of dealing with public procurement and PPRA Rules/Regulations
• Exposure to an ERP environment

Age Limit
