Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) is a leading Public Utility Company within the power sector, distributing electricity to over 5.40 million customers across eight districts of Punjab (Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang, T.T. Singh, Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar). FESCO seeks experienced professionals with an understanding of the power sector.

Role Overview

The incumbent will be hired as Chief Internal Auditor with the primary responsibility of managing the internal audit function at FESCO. The position reports directly to the Audit and Finance Committee and the Board of Directors.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating Accounting, Financial, Credit, and other Operational activities as an independent appraisal function.
• Reviewing and appraising the soundness, adequacy, and application of accounting, financial, and operational controls.
• Formulating and implementing Internal Audit programs covering all aspects of financial transactions.
• Preparing reports, observations, comments, and recommendations based on audit work.
• Developing and leading an effective team of competent subordinates.
• Undertaking special investigations as directed by the Audit and Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
• Liaising with External Auditors and Government Auditors.
• Communicating and ensuring the implementation of Board decisions and policies.

Requisite Skills:

• Ability to provide effective and inspiring leadership.
• Well-versed in the latest financial, legal, and regulatory schemes to improve compliance structures.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial, and related operational activities to conduct effective independent appraisals.

Qualification & Experience

• Must be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants with qualifications like CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/MBA (Finance) from a reputed HEC recognized local or international university/institute.
• Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience.
• Minimum four (04) years of experience at a Senior Management level in audit and risk management, designing internal controls, and ensuring financial reliability compliance in the public/private sector.
• Understanding of governance, risks, and risk controls, especially in State-Owned Enterprises or public sector projects.

Remuneration & Tenure

• Market-based competitive salary package offered on a lump sum basis.
• The position is contract-based, initially for three (3) years, including a six (06) month probation period.
• The contract is extendable by the Board subject to satisfactory performance appraisal and achievement of KPIs.
• The contract service shall not be regularized or pensionable under Government Rules.

Age Limit

Maximum age should not exceed fifty-seven (57) years as on the closing date.
