Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview

PESCO seeks an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance department. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for financial planning, management, reporting, investments, treasury operations, and regulatory compliance. The initial appointment term is three years.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

The candidate must have strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Responsibilities include overseeing financial operations, managing budgets, ensuring financial health, dealing with regulatory issues, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Qualification & Experience

• A member of an organized body of professional accountants (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA).
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management position.
• Broad knowledge and experience of finance, investments, and treasury operations, etc.
• High level skills in financial management, strategic planning, risk management, investments, and analytical skills.
• High level familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance issues of the electric power sector will be an added plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Upper age limit of 57 years.

3. Mention the post applied for ('Chief Financial Officer') on the top center of the cover letter.
4. Submit the application along with the following documents: Copies of degrees/testimonials verified by HEC/relevant body, detailed CV with two recent passport-size photographs, attested copies of CNIC and experience documents, two work references and two personal references, and a declaration on non-judicial stamp paper (duly attested) affirming eligibility as per relevant laws.
5. Candidates currently in government service should apply through the proper channel.
